Resting at his feet

He had friends that he loved so much
Martha, Lazarus (whom he raised from the dead) and their youngest sister Mary.
Martha invites Him to their home
Mary, the younger sister goes to sit at his feet, her mind, her soul, her heart hanging on every word he says.....
She is calm, nothing else is on her mind.
Her older sister, Martha is busy in the kitchen, busy, she is not listening to Him
Martha is yet to understand that "The Wordhas visited their home
because He is the Word.
But "What will he eat?"she wonders. She adds more anxiety to herself " Why is my sister sitting not coming here in the kitchen to help me!?" she thinks to herself...
"Lord, are you not concerned that my sister is not helping me?" She asks Him
He can read her mind, remember he read people's hearts and mind like an open book.
Nothing is hidden from Him
Martha is uncentred
She is not at rest
"Martha, Martha, Only one thing is needed, your sister has chosen the better part".....He said.

So what is this better part?
Our Lady, Christ's mom is a perfect example of that "better part"
She was contemplative.
Her Magnificat prayer is a reflection that she contemplated God in her heart
She Listened to God's Word, She contemplated. She Obeyed.
Obedience is a word whose root meaning is "Deep listening"
Listening to the Father, With Our heart.
